# Keymaker vault operations direct local test

## Synthetic fixture

The test used a purpose-made fake environment entry only. It did not open the real vault or any satellite environment file.

## Result

The local procedure extracted only the fake variable name `DEMO_PROVIDER_KEY`, identified its synthetic active status comment, and emitted only a four-character-tail mask: `...ALUE`.

## Safety result

No actual key was read, sourced, copied, smoke-tested, written, rotated, exported, or logged.
